After servicing an Epson EX50 LCD Projector (for removing dust particles on the panels), a green colored tint developed on the projection.
After diagnosis, it was discovered that this was due to the incorrect placement of the blue polarizer panel. The polarizer panels come with a coating / layer on one side. This coating / layer has to be placed on the back with the plane surface of the polarizer panel on the front side of the light direction.
Placing back the polarizer panel with the plane on the front, corrected the green tint issue.
Similar tints could develop if the red polarizer panel is incorrectly placed as well.
Fortunately, with the EX50, the green polarizer panel is fixed to the image assembly cover and therefore the chance of incorrect placing of this panel is virtually zero!
